Green Day - 21 Guns

Green Day's "21 Guns" is the kind of song and video a band makes when they are sure of themselves. They can veer away, at least somewhat, from their roots. Green Day has their humble beginnings in the Bay Area punk rock scene but this song in particular is pure power rock in my opinion. The video is artistic and the song's pacing is nothing short of heavy. It's not fast but not overly slow either. For lack of a better description, it just works.
