LANA DEL REY-VIDEO GAMES

Following Lana Del Rey's performance of her breakout single, "Video Games" on SNL this past weekend, I have to say that her live performances need some polishing. To say that she was a bit off vocally would be far too kind. I will go ahead and assume that Lana Del Rey was all sorts of nervous to be on national TV but she was all over the place from throaty to deep and soulful and it was a trainwreck. One poor performance, especially in front of a national audience, can take quite a while to make up for in the eyes of the fickle public. Her music is still amazing and so far from what is mainstream today that it deserves recognition but she needs to calm her nerves and smooth out her vocals.
