Music is a huge influence in my life and the visual aspect of the music video, while dying in traditional media outlets, lives on in the online world. Check out the videos of songs I'm listening to and add your take or destroy my own personal critique of the song in question.

A brief history of KJ104 in the Twin Cities
Modern Rock KJ104 was a station before my time. It was the first "true" modern rock station in Minnesota (to me Cities 97 in its earliest incarnation throughout the 1980s was best described as eclectic). The station had a two year run on the mostly cursed 104.1 frequency which, at this time, transmitted from the rather distant city of Somerset, Wisconsin. KJ104's DJs were a dedicated bunch and basically became the cornerstones of alternative and modern rock in the Twin Cities. Kevin Cole and Brian Turner were the brain wizards behind the station and when it was shuttered in favor of country music they moved on the create another ground breaking radion station -- one which gained national attention -- Rev 105. Brian Turner eventually landed at Cities 97. Shelly Miller went on to land at Drive 105 in the Twin Cities and others are scattered about the country and still living and breathing modern rock. How long will it be until modern rock returns again to the Twin Cities radio airwaves?
If you like music and arts in general then you must LOVE photos, check out my photo project, MinnPics. It's all about Minnesota, the state in which I live.
